    (-) The girls didn't meet their friends.

    3. Kevin was in Paris last-month.

    (?) Was Kevin in Paris last month?

    (-) Kevin wasn't in Paris last month.

    4. I saw a good film yesterday.

    (?) Did I see a good film yesterday?

    (-) I didn't see a good film yesterday.

    5. He wanted to buy a house.

    (?) Did he want to buy a house?

    (-) He didn't want to buy a house.

    6. The children were late for school.

    (?) Were the children late for school?

    (-) The children weren't late for school

    Explications :

    Forme interrogative : Did + sujet + Base verbale ...?

    Forme négative : Sujet + didn't + base verbale

                                        (  didn't = did not )

    Attention avec le verbe "BE"

    Forme interrogative : Was / Were + sujet ....?

    Forme négative : Sujet + wasn't / weren't ...

                                          ( wasn't = was not / weren't = were not )
